Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about file format support, speaker notes, limits, and extracted image downloads.

What file formats are supported?

The tool currently supports PPTX files only. Upload one or more .pptx files to copy extracted text, download .txt files, and download any images found in the deck.

Are speaker notes included in the extracted text?

Yes. By default, speaker notes are included. You can turn this off with the "Include slide notes" toggle before extracting.

How many files can I process at once?

You can process up to 20 PPTX files in one batch, with a total upload size of 100 MB.

How long are extracted images available for download?

Text downloads are created in your browser, so there is no expiring link for .txt files. Extracted image links are temporary, so download any images you need soon after processing.

Yes. The PowerPoint to Text extractor is completely free without sign-up or installation.

What content is extracted from the presentation?

The tool extracts slide text, titles, bullet points, speaker notes, and presentation images.

Does the tool preserve slide order in the extracted text?

Yes. Extracted text follows the original slide order from the presentation.

Can I download the extracted text as a file?

Yes. Extracted content can be downloaded as a plain TXT file.

Are images from the presentation extracted separately?

Yes. Images detected in the presentation can be downloaded separately.

Can I use this tool on mobile devices?
