Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about supported formats, privacy, limits, and image previews.

What file formats are supported?

Only .pptx files are supported. The tool extracts PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP, SVG, and WebP images embedded in your slides.

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. All extraction happens locally in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.

How many files can I process at once?

You can process up to 10 PPTX files in one session, with a total size of 100 MB.

Why do some images show a file type label instead of a preview?

EMF and WMF files are Windows metaformat images that browsers cannot display directly. You can still download them.

Can I extract all images from a PowerPoint at once?

Yes. The tool automatically detects and extracts all supported images from presentation slides.

Can I download images individually?

Yes. Images can be downloaded individually or together in a ZIP archive.

Does the tool extract background images from slides?

Yes. Supported background images embedded in PowerPoint slides are also extracted.

Are icons and SVG graphics extracted separately?

Yes. SVG graphics and supported embedded icons can be extracted and downloaded individually.

Can I use this tool on mobile devices?

Yes. The PowerPoint image extractor works on desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers.

Do I need to install any software?

No. Everything runs directly in the browser without software installation.

Are animations or videos extracted as images?

No. The tool extracts embedded image files only and does not export animations or videos.
