We take your privacy seriously. For our Google Slides add-on, we use your email address to authenticate your access to the add-on. Other SlidesAI products, including SlidesAI for ChatGPT and other AI assistants, handle additional information as described in their own sections below.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your email address and any other information you provide to us. We reserve the right to terminate your access to our Add-On if we believe you have violated these terms of use or any applicable laws.
We make every effort to protect your personal information and keep it secure. Our add-on, SlidesAI, is designed solely to help users generate presentation slides. We do not sell any user-generated data or personal information for commercial purposes. We adhere to strict ethical guidelines that prioritise our users' privacy.
To generate presentation slides, user-entered text is sent to OpenAI's servers for processing. No other data including any personal information is shared with OpenAI or any other third parties. We use the same technology that ChatGPT uses, for more information please refer to their privacy policy
If any user wants us to delete their data, they are welcome to submit a request at [email protected] We encourage you to communicate this option to students and parents alike. We only have access to the email address of the users.
We prioritise user safety and have emergency procedures in place to protect user data from potential threats.
All our communication happens via HTTPS, encrypting the data in transit. Additionally, all data is encrypted at rest to ensure maximum security.
The data in our system is used only for needed functionality and improving our service. We retain data only for as long as necessary to provide our services and will delete user data upon request.
Our service has implemented measures based on industry-accepted standards to ensure the utmost security of the student data we handle.
You can connect SlidesAI to ChatGPT and to other AI assistants that support the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Once connected, the assistant can create SlidesAI presentations and add slides to them in your SlidesAI account. This section explains what information we receive and store through that connection, how we use it, who receives it, how long we keep it and the choices you have.
When you ask the assistant to create or update a presentation, SlidesAI receives what the assistant sends to SlidesAI's tools: the slide content (text, layout and design markup, and chart and table data), the presentation title, and related settings such as the slide's position in the presentation. We do not automatically receive your full conversation or other files from the assistant. Slide content can include personal information if you or the assistant put it there.
To connect, you sign in to your SlidesAI account and approve the connection. We use your SlidesAI account identifier and email address to link the connection to your account and to create presentations in it.
Slides the assistant creates are saved to your SlidesAI account as an editable presentation, together with a copy of the slide content the assistant sent, so that you can open, edit and share the presentation in the SlidesAI editor.
We store what is needed to keep the connection working: your account identifier and email address, the permissions you approved, the access and refresh tokens issued for the connection, and the name the assistant registered with us (for example, "ChatGPT"), along with its website if it provided one.
We may record usage events, linked to your account, when a presentation is created or a slide is added through an assistant. These events can include account, organization, team and presentation identifiers, your email address (when a presentation is created), the assistant's name, slide counts and positions, the size of the slide content and timestamps. Our hosting provider also records technical information about requests the assistant makes to SlidesAI, such as the time, the requested path and network information like IP addresses.
We use this information to create and update presentations in your account, to let you open, edit and share them in the SlidesAI editor, to keep the connection signed in and verify that requests come from your account, to apply your plan's usage limits, to understand how the integration is used, to diagnose problems, and to keep SlidesAI secure. We do not use the information collected through this integration for advertising or behavioral profiling, sell it, or use it to train AI models.
We share this information with service providers that run SlidesAI for us, including hosting, database and file storage providers, product analytics providers and the sign-in providers you choose to sign in with. If you use SlidesAI's own AI features in the editor, the content you submit to those features is processed by AI model providers. People you choose to share a presentation with can see that presentation. The assistant you connected receives what SlidesAI's tools return to it, such as the presentation ID, the slide's position, validation results and a link to open the presentation in SlidesAI. The assistant's provider handles that information under its own privacy policy; for ChatGPT, see OpenAI's privacy policy.
Account records remain until you delete your account. Presentations and their stored slide content remain until you delete the presentation or your account. Usage analytics and technical logs and traces are retained for no more than 30 days from collection. When you delete a presentation, its stored slide content and backup copies are deleted within 30 days. When you delete your account, its account records, presentations, connection records and associated backup copies are deleted within 30 days. Access tokens for the connection expire after one hour and refresh tokens after 30 days; while the connection is active, the assistant can renew them.
You can disconnect SlidesAI at any time in your assistant's settings to revoke the connection's authorization, and you can delete any presentation from your SlidesAI dashboard. We complete emailed access, deletion and connection-revocation requests within 7–15 working days; deletion of stored copies and backups is completed within the 30-day period described above.
